Here are the parts a customer gave me to put together a “Warmoth” Strat for him. There’s a lot of details in a job like this and It’s never as simple as people may think. All Warmoth maple necks are sprayed with finish. They spray over the fingerboard and frets, so it’s important to do a proper fret dressing, crown polish and machine buff to get the frets in perfect, ready to be played condition. Before starting, it’s also important to score the finish on the edge of each fret, to ensure that no finish chips off of the fingerboard. Below, you can see the finish coming off the frets.
